About the Boat:
This 1971 Cruis-a-Home is strictly a live aboard boat, having
shed its engines long before I bought it. It is similar to a small apartment
with a little bedroom, a custom closet, cozy bathroom with tub and shower, a
kitchen area with a two-door refrigerator/ freezer, microwave, lots of storage
space, and a large office set up with room for two full computer systems
(and chairs!) Plenty of space to put out a container garden, floating
garden or traditional in the ground flower or veggie garden.
Almost everything
inside the boat has been remodeled or replaced in the last 2 and
a half years to make a comfy home for me and my dog.
About the Neighborhood:
Docktown marina has gone through a "remodel" itself, having added a half
dozen large floating homes to the marina, repaved the road and parking, laid
new water & electric lines, and the installation of new docks and foam
where needed. We have a responsive management team at the Marina between the
Owner, Harbor Master & support staff.
About the Yacht Club:
Onsite at Docktown is the Peninsula Yacht Club.
While we are a difficult in/out marina and must time departures and returns
with the tides, we still have a great deal of fun getting together during
the season and have an active event schedule yet again this year.
Resources:
If considering this
neighborhood, why not join us at the yacht club for dinner on any Friday
night to meet some of the interesting folks that call this home. Make
advance arrangements and get directions by sending an email to:
